Local Sports Notes
*District Two officials are re-evaluating Lake Lehman High School's status as host of the wrestling championships.  Three cases of the skin disease "mat herpes" have been reported.  LL has suspended its wrestling program until a solution is found.
*North Pocono and Susquehanna have new head football coaches.  The Trojans tabbed Dunmore assistant Gary Dohlon while the Sabers chose their longtime assistant John Salinkas.
*West Scranton baseball coach Paul McGloin has resigned the post to take a job as scout for the New York Yankees.
*Professional lacrosse likely will not be played in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area this year.  Management at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza has evicted the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Shamrocks for violation of lease.  Previously, Shamrocks officials joined a lawsuit against the league, which delayed the start of the 2012 season until September.
*Former major leaguers Bucky Dent, Roy White, Mickey Rivers, Dwight Gooden and Joe Pepitone will appear at the Electric City Trolley Museum in Scranton February 23.  The event benefits the Boys' and Girls' Club and will be the subject of Community Forum Sunday Feb. 19 at 6:30 a.m. on Fox Sports Radio.
